ICSA – The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
It is the best qualification for thosewho want to work as a Company Secretary. Under the Companies Acts it is necessary that every Limited Company has a Company Secretary on their Board of Directors responsible for the Legal and Financial administration of the company. This role is often combined with that of a Finance Director or a Corporate Lawyer and commands a high salary both in the UK and overseas.
COURSE DURATION AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Examinations for all subjects are conducted twice a year and courses start in:
II. Jan/Feb for exams in June
III. Jul/Aug for exams in December
Normally the whole programme can take little more than 2 years of study.

The ICSA course is divided into 4 parts. The Certificate and Diploma courses must be passed first. Then the Professional Stages.
